Ice Water Cake Recipe

Ice Water Cake Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cup granulated sugar
3 1/2 cup cake flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup ice water
1/4 tsp almond flavoring, (optional)
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Ice Water Cake Directions
Cream shortening. Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy. Sift dry
ingredients together. Add alternately with ice water and flavoring, if
desired, to creamed shortening.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in 2 greased cake layer pans
at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Makes 1 layer cake.
