Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
1 lb beef steak
1 tsp. tapioca flour
2 tsp. soy sauce half tsp. salt Pepper
2 pieces soft bean curd
2 tbs oil
2 shallots, sliced
2 tbs green peas
1 stalk spring onions, chopped
Method:
Clean and slice the steak thinly and season With tapioca flour, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Leave for 25 minutes. Clean and cut each piece of bean curd into 8 Pieces. Heat 2 tbsps oil in saucepan and brown the shallots. Add in 3 cups water. Bring to boil and add half tsp. salt, bean curd and green peas. When the peas are cooked, add the steak, stirring continuously. When the soup boils, add the spring onions and Remove from heat. Season to taste and serve at once. You can also serve this soup with mee hoon(rice vermicelli). Soak the mee hoon in cold water and scald.
